Happening upon this alternate account of Abram and Sarai’s trip to Egypt brought back to mind a peculiar fact I learned about ancient Pharaohs during my M.A. in Ancient History:
They speak like modern Englishmen when describing their extravagant and undying love for their mummies.
Rimshot! - I studied mummies once - was really wrapped up in it.
